As of October 2003, the Los Angeles Daily News' readers voted Stevenson Ranch as the "Best New Home Community in the Santa Clarita Valley." Found among the Santa Susanna Mountains is the 4,000- acre community that has a lot to offer. Stevenson Ranch is located just north of the San Fernando Valley off the 5 Freeway. Due to its location, the community is slower paced with less congestion and traffic, but is still close enough to the city for those who need to commute.
"Parkside" is Stevenson Ranch's newest enclave which offers many new home properties. Caryn Spencer, Marketing Director for Stevenson Ranch stated:
"Since the successful debut of Parkside, Stevenson Ranch has re-established itself as one of Santa Clarita Valley's most popular new-home destinations. There has been a tremendous amount of excitement and anticipation for the newest opportunities here. Homebuyers have been waiting a long time to buy a new Stevenson Ranch home, and the Daily News readers have recognized that being named the 'Best New Home Community in the Santa Clarita Valley is an incredible honor -- especially since there are so many other new communities being built in and around this area."
Parkside is located between the Golden State Freeway, Stevenson Ranch Parkway, and Pico Canyon Road, close to Stevenson Ranch Plaza, which offers all types of shops and restaurants. In August of 2003, Parkside opened a second elementary school, Pico Canyon Elementary School, as part of the award-winning Newhall School District. For additional recreational space, residents can head out to Jake Kuredjian Park, a five-acre county park offering more space for activities.
Parkside's sales are comparable to two of its neighboring developments, Northstar and Crescent Moon, both of which sold out in record time. Parkside will not only be offering single-family residences, the area will have a neighborhood of 98 luxury townhomes. The square footage will range from 1,000 to 1,500 square feet and should be available in the latter of 2004.
In addition to townhomes, Parkside will also be developing senior apartment homes. It will be a 272-unit senior community built by FountainGlen Properties, LP. The community will feature recreational facilities that include a library, game room, pool, spa, onsite laundry facilities, and convenient elevator accessibility. For more information on the senior apartment homes please visit www.fountainglen.com.
If you are not ready to endure the responsibilities of owning your own home, then Stevenson Ranch offers another solution for your housing needs: rentals. Stevenson Ranch Apartments will have begun construction in the summer of 2003. The apartments are built by Villas of Stevenson Ranch, LLC, which is a Lennar affiliate.
With such an amazing array of new options for homebuyers, it's no wonder Stevenson Ranch was voted Best New Home Community. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Stevenson Ranch's location amongst beautiful acres of preserved land is sure to entice any avid hiker or biker.
