Manhattan Beach
Incorporated in 1912 and originally promoted as a vacation spot for families in Pasadena and Los Angeles, today Manhattan Beach is one of the nicest and most livable cities in Southern California. One of the three "beach cities" (along with Hermosa and Redondo Beach), Manhattan Beach has attracted a dizzying array of restaurants and shops. Key local employers include Macy's , Fry's Electronics, Ralph's Grocery and Old Navy.
